Dr. Dre was born as Andre Romelle Young on the 18th of February,
1965.
Dre's career in the rap industry began with the eighties rap/electronic
group called "World Class Wreckin' Cru". It was with
N.W.A. (Niggaz with Attitudes) that Dr Dre rose to fame. The rap
group was together from 1986 through to 1991 and was one of the
leading group to start the gangsta rap genre. Their explicit lyrics
created much controversy for the group. Member of NWA included
Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, MC Ren, DJ Yella, and Arabian Prince.
Solo albums released by Doctor Dre include The Chronic (1992),
2001 (1999), and Detox (2008).
DR Dre is now better known as a rap producer and has worked with
acts like Eminem,
Snoop
Dogg, D12, Eve, G-Unit, Mary J. Blige, Warren G, Obie Trice,
Nas, Timbaland, Young Buck, Nate Dogg, Busta Ryhmes, and 50
Cent.
