The famous African American rap singer from New York City Jay-Z
was born Shawn Corey Carter on the 4th of December, 1969. Jay
Z grew up in the neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn,
NYC and went to the Downtown Brooklyn high school where The Notorious
B.I.G. and Busta Rhymes also attended.
Jay Z released his debut album "Reasonable Doubt" in
