Jerry Seinfeld was born on the 29th of April, 1954 as "Jerome
Seinfeld". Jerry Seinfeld was born to parents
Betty and Kalman Seinfeld in Brooklyn, New York and has a sister
Carolyn. The family were raised in Long Island and Jerry graduated
from Queens college in New York. Seinfeld is a Jewish American
of Hungarian and Syrian descent.
After developing an interest in stand up comedy
at college, he pursued this interest by performing in local clubs
and venues. After appearing on several television programs, including
a Rodney Dangerfield special on HBO in 1976, his career
started to become more of a success.
He also went onto to appear on talk
shows like, "The Merv Griffin Show", "The Tonight
Show Starring Johnny Carson" and the "Late Night with
David Letterman" programs.
In 1989 Jerry Seinfeld met up with Larry David and they created
the sitcom "The Seinfeld Chronicles" for the NBC television
network. The show was renamed simply "Seinfeld"
in 1990 and continued to air until 1998. The program was a great
success, with Jerry Seinfeld earning
up to $1,000,000 per episode towards the end of program. "Seinfeld"
continues to be aired throughout the world with Jerry continuing
to collect royalties from the success of the program.
Seinfeld is married to Jessica Sklar and they have two children
together, Sascha and Julian Cal.
Jerry Seinfeld is avid Porsche fan with a collection of at least
9 Porsches. He also collects white sneakers, having more than
500 pairs in his collection.
