Michael Carlisle Hall was born Raleigh, North Carolina in the
United States of America. Hall's only sister died in infancy and
his father died when he was just eleven years old.
Hall received a Master of Fine Arts from the New York University.
The actor found his feet in theater, with parts in Macbeth with
the New York Shakespeare Festival and Henry V with the New York
Public Theater.

Fisher in the HBO

Michael C Hall was married to the actor Amy Spanger, but the couple
were divorced in 2006. In
2008 the media have speculated that Hall is dating his (fictional)
sister and co-star from the Dexter series, Jennifer Carpenter.
