Nicole Kidman was born on the 20th of June, 1967 as "Nicole Mary Kidman". Nicole Kidman was born in Honolulu Hawaii to parents DR Antony David Kidman and Janelle Ann. At 4 years of age the family moved to Sydney Australia where her father became a lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney. Kidman studied ballet at an early age.

Nicole Kidman's first film appearances were made in several small television roles, a music video and film roles such as "BMX Bandits", 1983 and "Bush Christmas", 1983. In 1989 she starred in the film "Dead Calm", a thriller that got Hollywood taking notice of her. Her next film, "Days of Thunder" starred the famous actor Tom Cruise.

Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise became a couple on set even though Cruise was already married to the actress Mimi Rogers. Cruise and Kidman were soon married after the divorce of Cruise and Rogers. Nicole and Tom became one of Hollywood's hottest couples, and had a seemingly concrete marriage. But the couple separated after 10 years. The pair adopted two children during this time and still remain close for the sake of them.

The Australian actor has received many acting awards, including an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2003, an Oscar Award in 2003, a British Academy Award, 2 MTV Film Awards and was given her own celebrity star along the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, California.
