We cannot hope only to leave our children a bigger car, a bigger
bank account. We must hope to give them a sense of what it means
to be a loyal friend, a loving parent, a citizen who leaves
his home, his neighborhood and town better than he found it.
H.W. Bush - Children
I'm a father,
you know. I always wanted to be a father. Remember when you
first held your child? It's like wow, tremendous sense of responsibility.
Cruise - Parenting
saying I'm the perfect father, but the most important thing
is to be there for my kids and raise them the right way.
What I want
to do is make records, get respect, have fun, enjoy life and
see my daughter grow up.
and I stay busy, but I want to remain in control of things where
I can stay in the city and go home at night to my kids. I'm
a father before anything else, and anybody who knows me knows
that that's the most important thing to me, that I can be close
to my kids and be there.
I wish I
could sit here and give you words to describe what my mother
means to me. There aren't enough words in the dictionary. I
don't know how she did it.
James - Parenting
I was blessed
with a God-given talent and my mother raised me the right way.
James - Parenting
I had lots
of hurt and lots of pain, lots of woundedness, bruises, broken
heartedness in my life. I was abused sexually by my father,
abused mentally, emotionally. My mom didn't know what to do
about it, and she was being hurt in the process. So she just
didn't deal with it. And I can guarantee you, just because you
don't deal with something, that doesn't make it go away.
Meyer - Problem
thank God.. that I'm a product of my parents. That they infected
me with their intelligence and energy for life, with their thirst
for knowledge and their love. I'm grateful that I know where
I come from.
